After the price drop this week, I could not resist any longer and picked up an iPhone. This has got to be one of the best enigneered products ever.

The thing I'm finding interesting is the lack of simplified pages for mobile devices. I know the iPhone can read normal web pages and all that. But the page load times can be ridiculously slow even when on wifi. My guess is its all those flash adds and such timing out.

Anyway, I have found some sites, like the BBC for instance, that have low graphics versions or actual mobile versions. I will try to post on what I find.

It will be interesting to see if some of the big media companies actually start adpating their sites for smaller devices that are a little less than a laptop and a lot more than a phone.
