The American Solar Energy Society (http://www.ases.org/), a very cool nonprofit which promotes the development and use of solar and other renewable energy, is 100 votes away from being a finalist to receive $1 million from American Express through their Members Project competition. Voting for this round ends tonight July 22, 12:00 am EST.

Only the top five nonprofits will make it to the final round for the $1 million prize – and this nonprofit is now in 5th place (…but #6 is closing fast)!
