Earlier this week, Apple released the IPod Nano, a really cool looking small IPod. As this review states, this is a solid state MP3 player like the IPod shuffle, but it has all the features of a regular IPod. A color display, normal IPod interface, actually will display album art, and will also display pictures. Check it out here from Apple.

Apple has done it again. This product is just cool! I want one, but I just bought a Cowon iAudio G3 mp3 player (A very cool little player which I will blog about later). It’s only a matter of time until we get the 20 gig Nano! Or so I hope.
After a little experimentation with Saxon, I have created a short howto on setting up and using Saxon for XQuery. Getting everything setup and working is pretty straightforward once you know how to create a collection or access an individual document.
I have found that Saxon more closely follows the actual XQuery standard than the XML databases I have been using at work. So if you want to get started learning the language, Saxon is a free and easy way to get started.
